Program Description and Requirements

This application will require you to enter information from your business bank statements, tax returns, and financial statements. You may want to have those documents handy as you complete this application. You will also be asked to upload copies of these documents towards the end of the application. Processing of your application will not begin until all required documentation has been submitted.

Loan Program

Community Investment Corporation’s (CIC) loan program is designed for businesses seeking short-term funding to enhance operations or launch a new idea. Businesses must have detailed plans for what loan funds will be used for and realistic expectations for payback. Interest rates will vary depending on the credit profile of the applicant and whether the organization is creating a positive community impact through its operations or programming.

Program Guidelines

• Loan amounts: $500 - $100,000
• Term: up to five years
• Interest Rates: 8-10%
• Loan Fees:
  Loans < $25,000: $500 fee + any third-party fees
  Loans > $25,000: 2% of loan amount + any third party fees
  Document Preparation: $250

Requirements

• Business must be registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission or Arizona Secretary of State and file taxes
• Must have business checking account
• Loan funds must be used for business purposes
• Business cannot be engaged in any of the following activities: multi-level marketing / direct sales, financial services, illegal activities, or any other high-risk industry as determined by CIC
• Completion of application package including all required documentation
• Written consent from each owner to pull a personal credit report. (We will provide you with the necessary form later in the application process.)
• All owners and spouses of owners must sign a personal guarantee for the loan (Signing a personal guarantee means that you are personally responsible for paying off the loan if the business is unable to repay.)
• Initial interview
• Completion of requested survey questionnaires prior to closing and/or through the life cycle of the loan.
